Østerled Blok 3
Social Housing
The latest project from my fifth semester at VIA is a reconstruction of block nr. 3 at Østerled in Horsens. Our task is to create a living for diverse people, from retired, through families to young students. While designing we have to implement steel structures e.g. balconies as well as create a new elevator for disabled access. Another important thing to keep in mind is our budget which is not particularly high. The project is currently in the outline phase.
Vandsportspark Koncept
Water sports centre
As a great enthusiast of water sports, together with my classmate Cristofor we have designed a waterpark, which we would love to implement in Horsens Harbour. Our idea is to create half circular walkway path going from the promenade into the water and back to promenade. Whole structure would lay on steel/concrete piles and wooden frame + flooring. In the middle between walkway path and promenade would be waterski cable, whilst on the outside of the walkway path we've created space to workout, pool to swim, nets above water to relax, sauna with small pool to cool down and lastly from four shipping containers we've made a rental shop in the bottom and cafeteria on the top.
We have also introduced this project to kommune and even they liked it however we've came across problems as bad water quality in harbor and not enough space for ships to turn in the port.
ZIG ZAG Apartments
Social Housing
The ZIG-ZAG social housing in Horsens has been created as the fourth-semester project at VIA. We wanted to avoid the classical boring rectangular shape of the dwellings.
Therefore, we have decided to give it a little “push” from both sides providing this unconventional zigzag shape, which not only has a design purpose but also allows more light to get into the apartments and create beautiful views of the harbor from both east and west sides of the building.
Bygholm Sportshall
Multipurpose Facility
Our third semester project was to design a multipurpose sportshall near Bygholm lake. Sportshall was supposed to be made out of prefabricated concrete, and connected with cafeteria and offices, which were supposed to be constructed from wooden prefabricated elements. In the concrete hall we've implemented prefabricated wall elements together with TTS elements and story partition from hollow core deck elements. In the wooden part we've used glulam beams for the roof structure and wall elements.
Lodenica
Multipurpose Facility
Reconstruction of sport facility with restaurant above it. It is located in the city of Piestany, Slovakia. Facility is from 1980's. Building itself is made from prefabricated concrete and bricks. Ground floor serves to Kayak, Rowing and Sailing clubs and has area of 1600 square meters. On the first floor is restaurant on area of 480 square meters. While designing new facility we kept its purposes and added seasonal residential area. Because we didn't want to take more space on the plot we extended first floor above existing ground floor.
Private Hospital
Healthcare Facility
Project of Private Hospital was created near city of Trnava in Slovakia. It is 3 story high building with basement under part of the first floor. Facility consist of 12 doctor's offices, all three floors are designed the same way. The area of whole facility is 1240 square meters.
DUE Office Design
Interior Design
Interior design for the fictional company was created as a project during innovation weeks at VIA. It is situated in BASTIAN, near the train station in Horsens. The building is from the 19th century, but it was completely renovated before our arrival. So the o nly thing which we needed to do was the interior design of the office for architects.
Outline House
Single Family House
Outline House is a project from the second semester. It is a simple house situated in Stensballe in Horsens, on a plot really close to nature with an amazing view of the lake just a few hundred meters away. House itself is also made from natural materials, such as wood, bricks, and concrete. On the first floor, there are kid rooms, an office, and a spacious terrace oriented to the lake. The ground floor has a garage, living room, bedroom, and roomy kitchen connected with eating area.
Hansen's House
Single Family House
Hansen's House was a single family L-shaped house located near CASA Arena in Horsens, Denmark. The house has 160 square meters and it is fitted only in one floor. Both internal and external walls are made from bricks. As you enter the house, on the right side you can find spacious kitchen connected with living room, while on the left side home office and bedrooms are placed.
